Sneak Peek: Planning a Western-Themed Baby Shower

Western Baby Shower Inspiration BoardI love clients who come to Stockroom Vintage with an idea for an event–in this case, a Western/cowboy/southwestern-themed baby shower–and then ask me to blow it out of the water with unexpected vintage-meets-DIY goodness. When I first met Kate for coffee to chat about her bestie’s East Nashville baby shower, which Stockroom will be designing, I knew we were kindred spirits.

We both agreed that this co-ed baby shower would be decidedly un-baby-ish. No diaper cakes, no baby shower games. So I pitched a vintage-made-modern look (think worn wood and cast iron pieces coupled with clean graphic print fabric, muted colors and lots of feathers and such). And this DIY inspiration board gives you a good idea of where this shower is headed. I’m dreaming up a showstopping feather mobile, and I’m totally falling for these original fabric designs by Katherine Codega. I’ll be sharing some more snippets of the pieces I’ll be pulling from our vintage rental collection and the decor I’ll be crafting for the shower as we get closer to the due date! - Elizabeth
