Well, I’m back in Nashville after an 8-day stint in Portland, Oregon, where I lived for several years with my hubby before moving here (and, yes, the city still has my heart!). Between much thrifting (okay, much much much vintage hunting…think six thrift stores in a single afternoon), I had a few must-shop gems on my list. One of which was Wanderlust, the vintage mobile shop turned brick-and-mortar store. Aside from stopping in to swoon over owner Vanessa Rehder’s stellar taste in vintage wares–I bought a vintage pink velvet hair bow that is amazing!–I had to see the Winter Cabin Collection with my own eyes.
The cozy collection is a a limited edition collaboration by Mary Kate McDevitt with printing by Man vs Ink, sewing and design by Wanderlust vintage & handmade and copyrighting by Dan Lurie. I lusted over it all–the bags, the pillows + blankets, the salvaged wood signs and those super-cute coffee koozies. But, in a rare moment of restraint, I decided to just pick one piece: the “Hunker Down with Me” banner. Extra bonus…it fit in my carry-on. It’s now hanging in my home studio, where I pop in frequently for the sole purpose of admiring it.

Doesn’t this collection just make you want to grab a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle up somewhere warm with your sweetie–preferably in a rustic cabin in the woods? And, even if you’re not in Portland, you’re in luck: the Winter Cabin Collection is available for purchase online. Well, at least the pieces that haven’t been snatched up. Many of the items are selling out fast, which is totally understandable. I mean, it’s all so adorable, right?! - Elizabeth
