Okay, so we’re going to have to file this post under “2012 posts that I didn’t have time to blog.” But it doesn’t mean I’m any less excited to share it with you all! Last fall the Nashville Wedding Planners Group asked Stockroom Vintage to style some lounge areas with our vintage rentals for the group’s September meeting at Front Porch Farms. Never content to bring in a lovely tufted sofa and call it a day, I wanted to create several seating areas for the talented ladies of the group–these women spend much of their time creating beautiful moments for couples, so I wanted to treat them to some vintage loveliness of their own.
Using lots of suitcases and crates–and some of my favorite small vintage decor rentals items (think spools + spindles, clocks, a typewriter and bird figurines)–the Stockroom team created pretty, cozy nooks where the planners could settle in for cocktails and conversation in this breezy and bright outdoor pavilion. I love how these small details come together to create so many special moments–these little vignettes really let guests know that you didn’t overlook a single corner.
By far, the most popular styling element of the day was the Stockroom Vintage glitter bar. The planners loved it (as evidenced by the glitter bar’s appearance in many Instagram feeds throughout the day). I love when guests + clients can’t resist snapping photos of our styling! The idea behind the glitter bar is simple: fill pretty vintage bottles and vessels with hand-cut confetti and glitter, give guests some spoons and encourage them to create a shimmery custom mix, which they pour into lovely glassine envelopes for safekeeping. And how perfect is the custom sign that Elle from Jam + Toast created for our tablescape?!
Many thanks to the Nashville Wedding Planners Group for inviting us to showcase what we do best at this meeting! And, of course, thanks to styling assistants Carissa and Jenna for all of their help in creating some vintage lounge area magic!
