Hello, friends! A few weeks ago, Jessica of The Budget Savvy Bride and the team at Old Time Pottery approached me and asked if I’d be interested in putting my crafting skills to work for a new partnership. You see, Old Time Pottery has launched a new blog and their team was in the market for a resident DIY wedding blogger. As you can see from the first DIY I’m sharing here today, that crafter is, indeed, me!
Of course, I don’t need much of a reason to get excited about creating beautiful handmade wedding decor. And if you promise me free reign of an Old Time Pottery store to grab as many pieces and supplies as necessary to create the wedding crafts and decor of my dreams, I’m an easy sell! And, yeah, in the name of transparency and all that, it’s a paying gig. But I’m not going to make, build or put my glue gun to anything I don’t love, so you can expect lots more Stockroom Vintage-style craft tutorials ahead!
I created this canvas art piece to showcase my favorite aspect of any wedding–the marriage vows! I love the painterly effect of the soft watercolors. I envision this piece as the perfect customized addition to a dessert bar or escort card table, but I’ll be hanging this sucker in my house for sure. It’s the perfect reminder that my hubby and I promised to love, honor and cherish each other forever and ever and ever. Pop on over to the Old Time Pottery blog for the full tutorial on how you can create you own custom canvas art! – Elizabeth
