When it comes to flower arrangements and centerpieces, I’m all for charming vintage vessels that do all the work for you. Even the most simple, understated blooms look stunning in these vintage tin can containers. How stinking cute would those mix-and-match tea tins be when lining the tables at a tea party? Plus, if you use dozens of tin cans for wedding centerpieces, you can repurpose them in so many ways after the big day. (Think storage on your desk or vanity or planters for succulents. Just poke holes in the bottom of tins for drainage prior to planting, and you’re in business.)

You can typically pick up colorful tin cans with bold, graphic advertisements for next to nothing at thrift shops and flea markets. The same goes for those gorgeously dainty tea tins. Of course, you can nab tons of new versions (which house some super delicious teas to boot) at any number of specialty food markets around town. One tip: Before placing arrangements inside, remember to line the tins with plastic or drop a small container inside, as not all vintage pieces are all that great at holding water. In my house, I’ve found that shot glasses fit perfectly inside even the tiniest tea tins.
