After Stockroom’s busiest weekend yet–delivering our goodies to two weddings and squeezing in a mini-photoshoot in my backyard for two DIY projects in just one day–I’m literally heading to the hills. Don’t get me wrong. It was amazing and so very rewarding–I just need, you know, like a million naps. So my husband and I are rounding up the dogs, packing our favorite flannel blankets and driving to a cabin in the mountains. No cell service. No internet. No TV. Just our little family, a fireplace, a screened-in porch and lots of quiet, crisp fall nights in the woods. Um, yeah…can you tell I’m ready to build a campfire and just unplug for a smidge?
Our little early autumn getaway has me dreaming of ways to incorporate flannel into fall weddings and events. Don’t get me wrong–I love me some tulle–but I’m really a keep-it-casual girl at heart. And the woodsy-yet-refined look of this inspiration board has me oh-so-ready for the season of leather boots and cozy button-downs. These images just go to show that cozy doesn’t have to mean frumpy when it comes to event decor. Even your favorite flannel can be elevated to complete dream status.
