I have loved every engagement shoot I’ve styled and outfitted with Stockroom’s vintage event rentals, but this shoot has been the one nearest to my heart. When Alissa Saylor asked me to style an engagement set on the lake for Carli + Josh, I had a certain sense that it would be a special shoot. Alissa exudes so much spirit and light–and you can tell from her photos that she brings that same light out in the couples she photographs. Carli + Josh  glowed in this shoot. Every time I caught Josh stealing glances at the lovely Carli, I saw that look in his eyes…he’s smitten!

I’m so grateful that I was a part of creating these beautiful moments for Carli + Josh. They work opposite shifts at Vanderbilt Hospital, so I’m sure such moments aren’t easy to come by. They really are the sweetest couple. Carli loved the handmade touches–the painted pomegranate placecards and the gold sequin-filled message in a bottle, complete with a note I penned with the lyrics of their favorite song (I tried my hand at faking calligraphy!). Oh, I could stare at these photos for hours! They’re just SO in love. I’ll be back soon to share Part 2 of this romantic lakeside engagement shoot! – Elizabeth
