Welcome to Our Blog!

Hi, y’all! Welcome to the blog of Stockroom Vintage. You can get the full rundown of what Stockroom Vintage is all about on the site, but I’ll give you the short and sweet version. I’m Elizabeth, the owner, curator and stylist here at Stockroom Vintage, a dream project that I launched with my husband Will in February 2012.

I envisioned Stockroom Vintage as a warehouse of vintage wonderment. The kind of place where brides, stylists, photographers, event planners and the like could wander amidst shelves stacked high with awe-inspiring vintage furniture and props. That virtual dreamland now lives here at our brand-spanking-new website. Isn’t she lovely? (Many thanks to Nashville photographer and graphic designer Stef Atkinson and web developer Kelsey Wynns for sharing their talents.)

I’m so ridiculously proud of what we’ve started here at Stockroom Vintage. This Nashville-based rental company is my dream, one that started when I was planning my own wedding in July 2011. After collecting my favorite vintage pieces from my East Nashville home, I turned to my typical suppliers—flea markets, estate sales, thrift stores—to gather the rest of the trappings for my DIY vintage-inspired wedding.

Finding those perfect pieces (and lugging them to our Texas wedding) wasn’t easy—or cheap. Then it hit me: What if I could’ve rented all that stuff? Then I wouldn’t have been stuck with those generic, standard-issue folding chairs that I rented and instantly regretted. And my guests could’ve lounged on gorgeous vintage sofas and eaten off of heirloom china. When I returned from my honeymoon, I got busy building the kind of stockroom I fantasized about. Now I’m all sorts of excited to share our ever-growing collection with you all.

Browse our inventory, check out our long list of services and take a looksy at our growing selection of handmade goodies—all of which are designed to ensure that clients (and kindred vintage spirits) can execute the wedding, event or photo shoot they’ve always envisioned. And please check back here for more blog loveliness to come. I’ll be checking in regularly to share inspiration, DIY ideas, sneak peeks of our latest finds and so much more.

xoxo, Elizabeth
