She Wore Flowers in Her Hair

Though this look is nothing new (think Frida Kahlo), we’ve been seeing more and more flowers atop the heads of lovely brides lately. Such a sweet alternative to a veil or fussy headpiece! Whether you’re searching for a special, wistful look for a wedding or photo shoot, there is just something so charming and effortless about weaving a few blooms through your hair. We love flowers styled with messy maiden braids and loose curls. So, what do think? Would you wear flowers in your hair?

P.S. Upon reading this post, my Mom called to let me know that she too once wore flowers in her hair. On her wedding day, my Dad surprised her with a crown of wildflowers he wove by hand just for her. Swoon! Now that makes me want to wear flowers in my hair every day. Just had to stop in and share. It was too sweet a story to keep to myself.

Flowers in her hair say flower child, in a good way. I’m a fan. My locks aren’t nearly long enough, though.

Love this so much!   I too wore flowers in my hair in the early 70′s at my wedding!
