I have vintage trains on the brain today. Mostly because I’m waiting to hear back from the Tennessee Central Railway Museum about whether there’s a seat left for me on Saturday’s train to the Mile-Long Yard Sale in Watertown, TN. Yes, I could drive myself. Or I could snag a list-minute ticket and board a 1950s train and make the yard sale trek in true vintage style. Yeah, easy choice. After all, there are few things more romantic than a train ride and the promise of a new destination. (Oh, and that first photo? It’s one of the actual trains the Tennessee Central Railway Museum uses to carry passengers! Amazing, huh?)

Instead of waiting patiently and not getting my hopes up about that train ticket, I decided to fuel the fire by hunting down some jaw-droppingly gorgeous train photo shoots. Don’t you think vintage trains make for the most dreamy engagement photos ever? Sigh.
So, has anyone else ever been to Watertown’s Mile-Long Yard Sale? I’ll be flying solo because my hubby is going to a job fair for soon-to-be teachers. (Maybe he’ll chase after the train in dramatic black-and-white movie fashion?) Fingers crossed the conductor has a ticket waiting for me! The train departs downtown Nashville at 9am, so if I’m chugging along and arrive before you, I promise to save (some) vintage finds for you.
xoxo, Elizabeth
