I’m feeling pretty giddy to see our wedding featured on HuffPost Weddings. You can see the full post here. I can’t believe I waited this long to tell all of you (it was published yesterday–okay, so it hasn’t been that long), but it feels like something worthy of an immediate share, you know?
HuffPo writer Natasha Burton really honored the story of our wedding, which sometimes still isn’t easy for me to share–especially with tons of strangers online. But I think it’s important to be honest about why my hubby and I were on such a budget and why we planned so frantically. (Most of you already know that my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer shortly after our engagement, so we scrapped our original plans to ensure he’d be there to walk me down the aisle.) Even with all that was going on behind the scenes, and how heavy our hearts were for my dad, it was the best day ever. I still get butterflies when I relive the day through the photos snapped by Nashville wedding photographer Stef Atkinson.
Thanks to Natasha for featuring the very first Stockroom Vintage wedding and to Jessica Bishop of The Budget Savvy Bride for tipping me off to HuffPo’s budget wedding series! -Elizabeth
