Nashville Birthday Bash: Rolf & Daughters + Holler Design + Stockroom Vintage

A few weeks ago, Katie Vance–who also happens to be one of organizers of Porter Flea, the talent behind Knitlaces, a member of The Skillery team and a favorite friend of Stockroom Vintage–celebrated her 30th birthday at a lovely bash with a handful of close friends. When Katie sent over some snapshots of the dinner party, which featured food from the soon-to-open Rolf & Daughters restaurant, I just had to share. I always love to see Stockroom’s heirloom china rentals in action!

The beautiful dining table and chairs you see throughout the photos were handcrafted for Rolf & Daughters by Matt Alexander, the man behind Holler Design. If you haven’t checked out his work, a modern take on traditional Southern furniture, prepare to be blown away. Matt and Katie (pictured on the left below) hosted the party at their home on the Alexander Farm in Lascassas, which also houses Holler Design’s workshop.

If you haven’t heard the buzz about Rolf & Daughters, which is slated to open in the Werthan Lofts in Germantown this fall, here’s the scoop: The restaurant is the project of Belgium-born Philip R. Krajeck. In a recent interview with the Nashville Scene, the chef said the restaurant will serve “modern peasant food,” which he described as “commonsense, thoughtful cooking rooted in a passion for the best ingredients and a passion for the best techniques.” Yeah. Sounds amazing, right?

The tables and chairs Holler Design created for Rolf & Daughters can be seen at the restaurant when it opens this fall. In the meantime, you can follow Rolf & Daughters on Twitter and Facebook for more info and behind-the-scenes looks at the restaurant’s progress. – Elizabeth
