As the last of official days of summer dwindle, I’m so excited to share one last warm, slow moment of summer loving with you all, the Nashville engagement shoot of Kim and Andrew shot by Stef Atkinson and featuring Stockroom Vintage rentals + styling. We shot Kim and Andrew’s engagement session on the hillside in East Nashville’s Shelby Bottoms Greenway and Park as the sun set on a 106-degree day.
I wanted to design a sweet and simple vintage picnic set with a bit of a boho vibe—one that allowed Kim’s classic beauty (and how smitten they are with each other!) to take center stage. Stef captured their love–along with a Southern sunset and the gorgeous florals designed by Hillary Yeager at Brocade Design Arts–with such skill.
As soon as the couple perched on the vintage blankets and rested their heads on those lace antique pillows, it was as if Stef and I disappeared. The way Andrew looked at Kim gave us chills on the hottest summer day. True love! And the way the sun poured through those trees and shone right on Kim and Andrew as they nestled in? Such serendipity!
Thank you, Kim and Andrew, for letting us share these beautiful moments with you! And thanks to Stef for being so much fun to work with…even when sweat is dripping in my eyes as I lug props around the park! And, of course, to Hillary of Brocade for creating those masterful boho bloom arrangements–they were the perfect mix of relaxed and stunning.
Nashville brides, if you’re interested in infusing your engagement shoot with some vintage goodness, I’m happy to put together a custom grouping of props for you or to style the whole shebang and create some sweet DIY elements (like that vintage lace “X + O” below!). Consultations are free, and I love talking vintage! - Elizabeth
